GREAT EXCITEMENT.
THERE IS MUSIC IN THE AIR
Beautiful City f The) Dallas Marches
to the Perfect Tim of the
Kimball.
The arrival of such a large shipment
of elegant pianos and- organs in Tne
Dalles, seems to have pat certain piano
-and organ agents in a great state of ex
citement. They have lost their heads
entirely if they ever had any and are
talking at random, "through their
bats." They might compose them- j
selves by cracking these nuts : While
these gentlemen (7), who profees to
. know so much about pianos and organs
and other people's business the Kim
tall in particular just now are talking,
they might answer these questions :
1st. - Why is it, if the Kimball is such
an awfully bad piano as they would
have you believe, that the Kimball Co.
are the largest piano and organ manu
facturers iu the world.
2d. Why is it that there are two
Kimball pianos and organs in the state
of Oregon to one of any other makeT
Sd. How is it that the Kimball Co.
turned out 6,000 pianos last year, and
bad to build another addition to its im
mense factories last May, when other
manufacturers and dealers were cem
plainiDg of dull trade?.
4th. Plow is it that the Kimball Co.
turned out more pianos last year thau
any other four maufacturtes in the
United States?
6th. Who are the Chicago Musical
News? We never heard ef them. Did
you ?
6th. Why is it that the Metropolitan
Opera Co., and every other grand opera
company appearing in Chicago, use and
indorse the Kimball piano?
7th. Why is it that Patti, Nordics,
Minnie Hauk, Perngim and the De
Kenekys bought Kimball pianos and
had them shipped to London, Paris and
Lucerne for their personal use?
These questions will be enffioient for
the intellect of 'the gentlemen (?) for the
present. When they get through with
these, it might be well enough, while
Jiay are telling the public to much (?)
about other people, to tell them abeut
themselves and the pianos and organs
they have to offer instead of the Kimball
, We crave tha indulgence of the good
people of The Dalles for this digression,
and will state, in conclusion that if you
will call at the bid Chronicle building,
we shall be please to 'give you full in for
onation as to the superiority and merits
nt th Kimball, and will show you the
.largest and finest shipment ever brought
to this city. This is an opportunity to
get a strictly high grade instrument
from the factory direct, and save agents
profits. Store open every night during
this sale till 10 o'clock.
We make a piano which we are proud
of and take pleasure in showing.

INVESTIGATE THIS.
If Yon Do, and Act on the Suggestion,
Yon Will NeTtr Itegert It.
I would kindly suggest to those who
.may be considering the advisability of
-presenting the home with a piano, that
if they will prevail themselves of the un
: precedented opportunites offered at this
-eale in that line, they will have made
the bargain of a lifetime, and I can safe
ly say that you will have saved enough
in the transaction to fairly educate the
family in music. j
I am offering at this sale the very best
pianos that money, brains and exper- j
ience can produce ; the class and charac
' ter of which no man can dispute, and ;
fully one-half lower than the regular re
tail price for the same class of goods the
world over. The guarantee of the W.
W. Kimball -company, a firm worth
millions, goes with every Kimball piano.
The Kimball pianos are in greater de
mand than any piano the world has ever
produced, which is abundant proof of
their excellence. No piano, ' of any
flame, at any price, will wear any better
or retain its original beauty of tone any
longer.
. More than 600 Kimbal pianos are in
use in Oregon, at least two to one of any
other make, and every possessor is
happy ; they could not be otherwise.
If you expect to get one of the instru
ments offered at this sale, you should
call at the old Chronicle building at
once.

The readers of this paper will be
pleaeed to learn that there is at least one
dreaded disease that science has been
able to cure in all its stages, and that is
Catarrh. Hall's Cure is the only posi
tive cure known to the medical . frater
nity. Catarrh being a constitutional
disease, requires a constitutional treat
ment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken in
ternally, acting directly upon the blood
and mucous surfaces of the system,
thereby destroying the foundation of the
disease, and giving the patient strength
by building up the constitution and as
sisting nature in doing its work. The
proprietors have so much faith in its
curative powers, that they offer One
Hundred Dollars for any case that it
fails to cure. Send for list of testimo -Dials.
