A Discharged Kmploye Attempts to Slaa Mayor Swift. flmpifift ffavlffe A rtanitf waa naArt in the mayor's office this afternoon by the attempt of a discharged employe to slug Mayor Swift. The assailant, Phillip Chester, made a rush for the mayor1, yelling all sorts of threats, but was stopped by the clerks and overpowered. The noise frightened people in the build ing and in the rush for safety, several were knocked down and trampled on, but none were seriously injured. The mayor escaped unhurt.
