Yesterday's Cyclone.
Kansas City, Mo., May 2. A epeclal
to the Star from Newton Kan., says:
"Farther particulars of yesterday's cy
clone, report that the death list will
probably teach 15 or 20.
Those known to be dead are Mrs.' A.
Chapin, an aged woman ; Joseph Wile,
wife and three children ; William Arm
Strong, Mrs. F. Kizelle, and Miss Cora
Snaff. There were about 20 badly in
jured. Phyeicians from the surroundintr
towns have gone to the assistance of the
injured. ' "
Dead cattle are strewn over the prai
ries for miles, and debris is everywhere.
The Btorm did not rise from the ground
and moved with terrible velocity. It
demolished the telegraph poles in cross
ing the main line ot the Santa Fe.
The force of the storm broke north of
Mound Ridge. - Hundreds of people
' turned out from Newton, Halstead and
Burrton to assist the injured and to re
cover the remains of the dead. Several
are missing and a search is being made
for the bodies.

The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at leaBt one
dreaded disease that science has been
able to cure in all its stages, and that is
Catarrh. Hall's Cure ia the only poai
tive cure known to the medical -frater

disease, requires a constitutional treat'
ment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken in
ternally, acting directly upon the blood
and mucous surfaces of the syBtem,
thereby destroying the foundation of the
disease, and giving the patient strength
by building up the constitution and as
aisting nature in doing its work. The
proprietors have so much faith in its
curative powers, that they offer One

In Better Positions.
; New Yobk, Mav 2. A special to the
World from Corinto says :
The British warships have changed
positions again. It is understood that
they are to leave upon receiving from
Managua a promise to pay the indemnity
The ships have been stationed so as to
command the bridges over the lagoons
in order to guard the armed force on
shore against surprise by the Ricaragnan
troops on the mainland, as it was re
ported that an attempt would be made
to regain possession of the town. Though
the report was derided by British officers
on land the men-of- war were shifted as
.noted.
Admiral Stephenson has wired home
asking for instructions. He says the
concessions made by England indicate
that a peaceful solution of the trouble
-has been reached.

Richmond, V., Oct 2, 1894. .
Indiana Bicycle Co., Indianapolis, Ind.:
Gentlemen The Waverley Scorcher and Be'le came to hand
yesterday. We are afraid you have sent the high-priced wheel
bv mistake. You can't mean to tell us that this wheel retails for
tS6? We must say that it is, without exception, the prettiest wheel
we have ever seen, and, moreover, we have faith In it, although it
weighs only 22 lbs., for of all Waverleys we have sold this year and
last and you know that is a right good nuraberl, we have never
had a single frame nor fork broken, either from accident or defect,
and that is more than we can say of any other wheel, however
high grade, so called, that we sell. We congratulate ourselves
every day that we are the Waverley agents.
