Cattellane Wedding;.
New Yobk, March 2. The arrange
ments for the Gould-Castellane wedding
have been completed. The marriage
ceremony will take place at the resi
dence of George Jay Gould at 12 o'clock
Monday. Archbishop Corrigan, aeaieted
by two priests from the cathedral, will
officiate. There' will be no civil cere
mony. There will be present the rela
tivea of both parties and intimate friends

people in all. The invitations have
been limited to that number, as no
more can be comfortably accommodated
in the house. ;
Ten days loss of time on account of
sickness and a doctor bill to pay, is any

4 The Men Must Return to Work t Once

New Yobk, March. 2. The electrical
.contractors have resolved to treat only
wrth their own men in the settlement of
the present etrike . upon the . condition
'that the men return to work at once on
a nine-hour basis. The contractors set
tforbh that the eight-hour day shall com-
im&nce May 15. If the men do not re'
eume Monday, it is stated that nonunion
. men will be employed.

Two Dead, One Fatally Wounded.
Vallbyfiki-d, Quebec, March 2.
John Loy, a clerk, and Max Lebauf, the
watchman, for the Montreal Cotton
Company, were ehot and killed last
night, and Hugh Wilson, another clerk,
was shot and perhaps fatally wounded,
by C. E. Shortis, formerly the private
secretary of .the manager of the com
pany, but recently discharged on ac
count of his irregular habits. Between
1 and 11, Loy and Wilson were making
up the pay-rolls when Shortis entered
the office, He was ordered to leave.
He grabbed a loaded revolver from the
paymaster's desk and began firing
Shortis, after attempting to open the
door of the vault, escaped, no one being
able to interfere. About midnight Wil
son was able to reach the electric button
and sounded an alarm, which brought
assistance. Shortis has been arrested.

The Doherty Jary Disagreed.
New Yobe, March 2. The jury in the
caee of ex-Captain Doherty, accused of
extorting "protection" money from the
Keepers of disorderly houses, has report'
ed a disagreement.
Mrs. Emily Thome, who resides at
Toledo, Washington, says she has never
