A. Sympathetic Strike.
New Yoek, Feb. 21. The strike of the
building trades in sympathy with that of
the electrical wiremen, bids fair to ear
pass any other in the history of those
organizations. It may affect nearly
100,000. So far 2000 men are out. At
noon today workmen employed on the
American Surety building and the ad
dition to St. Luke's hospital quit. It
was announced that work ceased this
afternoon on the new clearing-house
building, on Cedar street;

Missing Troops on the Frontier.
St. Petersburg, Feb. 21. The govern
ment ordered the infantry battalion
stationed at Strelenske, on the Chinese
frontier, to be increased to five battalions.
