The steamer Regulator will make a
trip to Cascades on Monday, the 18th
inst., and will carry freight and passen

An AgeA Horse.
Aa old, or perhaps the oldest horse in
the United States died last week on the
Upper willow creek. The horse lacked
just one month of being 40 years old and
was the property of Mr. Rose, a farmer,
who had owned the animal since it was
eight years old. Mr. Rose deeply re
gretted the death of his old friend and
gave him a very respectable burial.

Funeral of W. W. Stow.
San Francisco, Feb. 14. The funeral
of the late W. W. Stow took place from

Bishop Nichols officiated. The remains
