The Boar Positively Identified.
Pana, 111., Dec. 19. The boy who was
murdered here Saturday has been iden
tified as Arthur L. Binnion of Vernon,
111. His father is here, and the body
will be brought back from Chicago,
John Binnion of Vernon positively iden
tified the clothing found on the mur
dered boy as those of his eon, Arthur L.
Binnion. He went into hysterics when
told of the initials "A. L. B." tattooed
ea the arm. A telegram was sent to
Chicago to stop the interment of the re
mains taken there by William Barbour,
who had claimed them as those of his
eon, who, however, turned up alive and
well today. The police have no clue as
to the murderer.
YValte and the Cowboys Censored
Monticello, Utah, Dec. 19. When
Colonel Lawton, of General McCook'a
staff, and Indian Agent Day, arrived
here from Denver to investigate the re
ported invasion and threatened out
break of the Utes, from Colorado, they
had no difficulty in persuading Chief
Ignacio to obey the orders to returu to
the Colorado reservation. Colonel Law
ton Bays there was never any cause for
alarm, and that the actions of Governor
West were not warranted by the situa
tion, as the Indians were peaceable all
the time. He also blames the cowboys.
The Ute chief is much incensed against
the "Mormon Liars."
Somebody Else's Body.
v Chicago, Dec. 19. George H. Bar
Ibour, a young insurance clerk, supposed
to have been murdered at Pana, 111.,
walked into the morgue today, where
iialf a dozeu of his associates were gath
ered to identity his body. Barbour's
lather" was "present, and au affecting
scene followed. - .The body of the young
uan found buried near the railroad
track at Pana had been fully identified
fey the father as that of hie eon'; Young
15arbour refused to say. anything re
garding his disappearance Thanksgiving
day.

York Yacht Club- another chance, and

published a letter today from Armenia,
telling of fresh horrors there.'includlng
23 villages laid in aBhea, 11 other villages

A Revolutionist to Be Shot.

Geroldo Saiz, a revolutionist, extradited
from San Antonia, has been brought
here, and it is understood that he will
be shot without the formality of a trial.
It is claimed his guilt was firmly estab
lished in the extradition proceedings.

...,An Oppressive Tax.
Rome, Dec. 19. At a meeting of the
cotton manufactures in Milan today, it
was decided to send a telegram to the
government asking , it to suspend the
new tax on cotton until parliament re
assembles, adding .that otherwise they
will close the factories.

the provisions of the act of Congress of Jnne 3,
1878, entitled "An act for the sale of timber lands
in the states of California, Oregon, Nevada and
Washington Territory," LaFayette Davis, of
Klngsley, County of Wasco, State of Oregon, has
this day filed in this office his sworn statement,
for the purchase of the NWJ4 NEJ4 of section
No. 23, in township No. 3 south, range No. 13
east, and will oiler proof to show that the land
sought Is more valuable for its timber or stone
than for agricultural purposes, and to establish
his clajm to said land before the Register and
Receiver of this office at The Dalles, Oregon, on
Saturday, the 5th day of January, 1895.
He names as witnesses: Ernest Mayhew, Tim
Mayhew, Henry Mayhew, Serephine Nace. of
Klngsley, Oregon.
