The Indi anapolis gas trust began a new experi ment in natural gas production yester day, on the Waddell, farm, nine miles east of Noblesville. Twelye gas wells will be drilled on a section of land. Near the center a well will be sent down into salt water. To this well a powerful pump will be attached and the water drawn out. This, will be done with a view of keeping the other wells dry. The experiment on a large scale is the result of one made a short time since by Superintendent Shackleton, when he put a pump into a wet well, and in less than forty-five minutes had a half dozen wet wells in the vicinity flowing dry gas. Many gas companies and citizens were present to learn the result. Mr. Ira P.
