Elected Moderator.
The general assembly of the Presbyte
rian church, now in session at Washing
ton, has elected Rev. Willis G. Craig, of
McCormack Semin
ary, Chicago, mod
erator for 1893.
Upon him will de
volve the task of
presiding over the
heated discussion to
which the pending
debates on the con
fession of( faith will
give rise. His elec-
RriOfcA'tfiu.iiGL tion gives entire
satisfaction. Like Dr. Young, whom he
succeeds, he is a native of Kentucky.
He was born on his father's plantation,
rnear Danville, Ky., on Sept. 24th, 1824.
He was graduated from Centre college
and Danville seminary and he began his
i ministerial labor9 in Keokuk, Iowa, in
;1862. For twenty years he preached in
thftt town.

The Borden Trial.
New Bedford, Mass., June 8. In the
Lizzie Borden trial today the testimony
was lhat the accused, after the tragedy,
and after a search by the police, burned
what alio said was a paint-stained dress.
The prosecution seeks to show it was
blood-stained.
"Golden Medical Discovery" cures
those diseases which comes from blood
impurities scrofula and skin diseases'
sores and swellings.
But does it? It's put up by the thous
ands of gallons, and sold to hundreds of
thousands. Can it cure as well as
though it had been compounded just for
you?
Its makers say that thousands of peo
ple who have had tetter and salt-rheum,
eczema and erysipelas, carbuncles and
sore eyes, thick neck and enlarged
glands, are well today because they used
it.
Suppose that this is so. Suppose that
a quick-witted man was lar-seeing
enough to know that to cleanse the
blood was to cleanse the life. Suppose
that by many experiments, and after
many failures, he discovered this golden
key to health and that his faith in it for
you is so strong that you can go to your
druggist, buy a bottle, and if it doesn't
help you, you can get your money re
turnedcheerfully. Will you try it?
The remedy to have faith in, is the
remedy the makers themselves have
.faith in.
