Tha Quickest W ny to Care m Cold.
Do you wish to know the quickest way
to cure a cold? We will tell you. To
cure a cold qnick-Ty, it mast be treated
before the col! has become settled in the
system. The first symptoms of a cold
is a dry, loud cough and sneezing. The
cough "is soon followed by watery ex
pectoration and the sneezing by a pro
faen watery discbarge from the nose. In
severe cases there is a thin white coaling
on the tongue. What, to do? ItisVinly
necessary to take Chamberlain's Cough
Remedy in double does every hour.
That will greutly lessen the severity of
the cold and in many cases will effectu
ally counteiact it, and cure what would
have been severe cold within one or
two days timi'. Try it and be convinced

Speaking of patent medicines, the

tioa are foreigners, mostly Huns, Eilea i
and ' Italians. Three months ago the ;
free mail delivery system was inatign
rated in the town. It has proven a fail
ure. ' A great deal of foreign' mail mat
ter is received at the postoi&ce daily, bnt
no streets or numbers are given. The
letter carriers simply take a bag of mail
and march through the town blowing a
whistle.
. The people turn out and the carrier
allows them to examine the letters. In
this way he delivers to owners. The
people are honest euough, and will not
take a letter that does . not belong to
them. The postofiice authorities at Wash- ;
uigton, however, do not like the mode
of delivery, and it is likely that the free
delivery syptem will be discontinued. j
