-Eugene, -Or., Nov. 28. After being
relieved of a wallet containing 8380, R.
K. Bushnell, 22, of Springfield, Or.,
was bound and gagged by two bandits
and thrown behind a string Of empty
gravel" cars : on the Southern Pacific
siding last night. In an hour and a
half he loosened himself and called for
help. The robbery occurred on the
grounds of the Southern Pacific pas
senger station here. The two two ban
dits, both well dressed, are thought to
have escaped on the Shasta, which went
south a few minutes afterward. Bush
nell had intended to make the trip to
San Francisco on this train.
