The limited parcel business ported as passing of late has been practically insufficient to establish quotations on export tales. Private cables from Europe again tell of lack of appreciation for supplies of both wheat and flour. While some business nas recently passed for flour with Europe,, stul the move ment is entirely lacking at the moment. Oriental interests are- ourchaaers neither of wheat nor floor at this time, due to the liberal storks previously purchased. Millstuffs continue of strong character and mt supplies. Hoy hoe Wall Street, New York. Nov. 25. Chief interest in today's bond market centered in the continued activity at andvancing prices of French securities. The rise, in those bonds was generally ascribed to the optimistic state ment as to "European conditions made by Pres ident Mitchell of the National City bank of New Turk city. His declaration that at pros-, ent prices French bonds represent a "ridicu lously low credit rate" brought some food buying into the market. Both 7 s and the 8s : responded, and Department of the Seine 7s were sympsthetically strong. " Outside of the activity in the foreign group there was little interest shown in the market. Chicago Great Western 4s, which bad such s sensational runup just before the close Friday afternoon, dropped between 2 and 3 points today. Nor wasT any explanation at hand of Friday's episode. Chicago ureal western nas been operating very poorly for a long tune. Other speculative bonds to score lasses today included New Haven 6s and the New Orleans, Texas A Mexico incomes. United State government issues went slight ly lower, but the very high grade railroad bonds, of which Atchison general 4s is typical. held very firm. Holders of securities of this grade seemed to have regained their confi dence. ' At any rate, there were no evidences of sale on the theory that the reaction in high grade bonds was likely to go farther, Mean while it is very Interesting to note that the weekly statement of the 765 member banks of the federal reservw system published today showed a decrease of S29.000.OO9 in commer cial loans, and an Increase of $17.000.00 in total ia vestments. This latter increase is di vided between 37.0O6.00O in gorernmest and $10,000,000 in corporate securities. AU these figures indicate a reversal of the liquidation on the part of banks of securities bought at lowen levels a year or so ago. It waa this aonidation which was one of the factors ad versely., affecting the bond market during the recent idecline. Unless, then, there is now un expected larger demand for money for business rpoTposea. the market ia not likely to be de pressed by sales from ,tb banks. Sew Tork. Nov. 25. Following is an offi cial list of bonds traded in on the New Tork stock escbange today, with prices np to and including the close of the market. Total sales were $5,23.000, against $12,17,000 yester day, $4,660,000 a week ago, 313.074.009 a year ago, and $6,917,000 two years ago. From January 1 to date 33.898.254.000 against S2.959.640.00O a year ago. and S3.' 389,369.000 two years ago.
