Approximately. 900 disabled veterans in this district have received training under- the government and many of these are now getting higher wages than were paid to them before the war, Fischer states. Others are still unemployed, though they have com pleted their courses, and Fischer ap peals to employers: "Give ' the boys a chance." Some 3000 veterans In this district are still taking the course and will need work soon. The Northwest Is making a record for the number of ex-service men who are reinstating their war risk Insur ance, said Fischer. Over $4,000,000 In insurance has been reinstated to term insurance or converted into permanent Kovernment policies since January 1.
