Rich Strike Made
Of Carbonate Ore
Spokane. Wash.. Jan. 19. Fire feet of car
bonate ore. principally lead oxide, waa nncorered
in the drift on the 300-foot lerel of the Look
out Mountain property, located near Kellogg, ac
cording to reports from, the mine. Thia makes
the third consecutire shoot of ore. found on
thia lerel. The drift had passed through 68 feet
of ore, areraging better than six feet in width
and has now entered a second shoot df oxides.
Crosscuts on the rein at this point hare been
extended 84 feet without locating either wall
estimates of the ore now exposed place values
at 60 per cent lead and 40 ounces of silrer.

ALBANY REPORTS SHORTAGE
OF CATTLE, SHEEP ASD HOGS
Albany, Or.. Jan. 19.. The supply of cattle
sheep and hogs for butchering purposes is in
adequate to satisfy the demand in this section
of, the Willamette ralley, according to Dan
Johnston, secretary of the D. E. Nebergall
Meat company of Albany. Secretary Johnson
reported st the annual meeting of the com
pany's stockholders that 17,976 animals were
butchered by the company last year and that
sale were $814.963.72. . a substantial increase
in both items, over 1920. Officials elected by
the company are D. E. Nebergall. president; H.
L. Nebergall. rice president, and Dan Johnston,
secretary-treasurer.
