Pennybacker of Austin, Texas, rormerly president of the Oen eral Federation, heads for the national organisation, and Miss Vella Winner heads for . the state organization. Under this department there are four j distinct i divisions for different lines of work. The national division of Ameri canization i8 headed by MPs. John Can-i non pea-son of . Marshall, Okla. Tot Oregon this department will be in the hands of Mrs. . Lee Davenport, who did effective Americanization work last year as head of that committee for the State Federation and for the Portland Woman's Research club. Mrs. Daven port, is already outlining her work for the winter. She spoke before the Pro gressive Woman's league at its open ing luncheon Saturday, outlining a plan pf study "for that , organization.
