For the first time in many years from 15 to 25 per cent of the previous year's wheat crop remains unsold on the eve of the new harvest. In numerous ware houses over the country, 1920. grain Is held by the farmers, who have vainly waited for something to put the market on the upturn again and give them an opportunity to recoup some of their losses.
