Threat Considered Joke A crude
"warning" written on a torn out sheet
from a time book was found on the front
porch of J. B. Murphy's home, at 837
Kellogg street, several days ago. The
note read. "Beware at midnight," and
was signed with a skull and cross bones.
Police believe the note was written as a
joke.

Holm of Naselle, who had lived In Pa
cific county for 40 years, died Saturday.
Funeral services were held in Astoria,
