Police Aid Asked The police have
been asked by J. T. Klmberlin of Hot
Sprints, Va, to aid him in a search for
- his son, Robert K. Klmberlin, -who came
to Portland -about a year ago to take a
position with the federal forest service.
When last . heard from in December,
1919, he wrote hla father he was in
Portland. Records show that he went
to Bend to work with the forest service,
from which place trace of him has been
lost.

Tire Theft Ssspeet Ted Urlch was
.arrested at East Thirty-ninth street and
Hawthorne avenue early this morning
by Patrolman Wells,, who claims he
, caught Urlch In the act of stealing an
automobile tire from a machine parked
at the curb.

Holsman, I. Holsman & Co., Paul Har
baugh, Ben Levin and the. General Nov
elty Co. has been appealed to the circuit
court of appeals, according to a notice
filed in the federal court Monday. Dwy
er recently lost his suit in the local fed
eral court. The defendants have also
notified the court by petition that they
intend to seek damages for being re
strained from' doing business while the
suit was pending in the federal court.
They request; Judge Bean to stipulate
the amount ot damasres they are entitled
to out .f the 110,000 bond posted by

schedule of the Linn county farm bu
ureau, preliminary to its intensive
member's hip drive next, week, . began
Monday. George A. Mansfield, presi
dent of the state bureau ; A. C. Joy
of Ashland, former president of the
Jackson -..county bureau; W. J. Garner
of Lallais and George L. Gray, field
representative of the national federa
tion, are the speakers. Active soliciting
will begin next Monday.
The aim of the drive is a member
ship roll of 1500 farmers, who will pay
an annual membership fee ' of $10 each.
Affiliation with the state and national
federations is the ultimate objective
of the Linn county bureau.
Robert H. Brinson, 60, proprietor of
a local feed stable, died Monday morn
ing from heart trouble. 'He? is survived
by.his'wife and four sons.
Walter S. Locke, 77j died at his home
at Jefferson Sunday, He is survived
by two sons.
