He served in the war In battery B. 147th. field artillery, having passed through the battles of Belleau , "Wood, Chateau-Thierry and the Argonne. Mr. and Mrs. . Hoover will reside In their own home at 1749 East Fifty-fifth treet. . - Caurelhurst activities will open this week with the election of four directors 'Monday evening to fill the vacancies -caused by the expired terms of President ,Nelson R. Jacobson. Vice President David '..II. Smith, Treasurer Arthur M. Conover ' and Director Dr. J. P. Tamiesie. Tues day evening the men's. unit of the club will elect officers and enjoy a smoker supper at the clubhouse. The women's afternoon card party will meet Tuesday i afternoon with Mrs. Charles O. Bechtold (. and Mrs. J. T. Thompson as hostesses. The affair Is for .members of the club and their friends. The club' will hold Its regular dance Thursday evening fot members only. The Minnesota State society will hold an Indoor winter picnic January 12 at Portland Social Turn" Verein hall.
