Party New Years
THE Metzger Community club will
give a masquerade dance In Its new
clubhouse In Metzger Park New Year's
eve. All residents of the Metzger dis
. tnct and their friends are urged to at
tend the affair. Good music will be
furnished for the dancers and refresh
ments will be served during the evening.
The dancing will begin at 8 :30 o'clock.
: Alumnae and active members of the
Alpha Chi Omega sorority will give a
luncheon Tuesday at .the Hotel Port
land. It is expected that there will be
about 30 young -women present Follow
ing the luncheon the guests will enjoy
a .matinee party at the Orpheum. Any
visiting sorority sister will be welcome
on this occasion and may make a

The Stephens night school closed its
fall term Thursday evening with ah
entertainment and dance.' The festival
spirit reigned throughout the evening,
the pupils - partaking of refreshments
and playing games until 8:15. In the
assembly hall a few inntnim
were given by some of the pupils and
dancing followed. A few popular songs

THE annual dance and' card party of
X the Travelerg' Protective association
will be held at the Multnomah hot!
Wednesday evening. The entire mezza
nine floor has been engaged for the oc
casion and both large ball rooms will be
used for dancing and the smaller rooms
will be used for cards and other social
features. A buffet supper will be served
and prizes will be awarded during the
evening.
All the entertainment is complement
ary to. members of the association, and
visitors' tickets may be secured from
the secretary at 330 Morgan building or
at the door that evenng.
The Oregon and Washington division
has had the most prosperous year in its
history. 900 new members having been
added this year. ' , '
