Recount Is Denied In Road Bond Vote Contest by Court McMinnvllle. Or., Sept. Id. Judge Belt Tuesday heard the suit brought chal lenging the legality of the road bond election held in May. Nine witnesses were called who testified they had not fegally registered but who voted. The plaintiffs sought to invalidate the elec tion and obtain a court order for a re count of the ballots. Four of the wit nesses testified that they, did not re member how they voted although they had told the plaintiffs they voted against the bonds. The proposed roads were from New- herf to Yamhill and from Dayton toward Wheatland. The vote as count ed stood 2159 for and 2164 against. The evidence showed five illegal votes, which would make the result a tie. Judge Belt ruled that the evidence was not sufficient to prove an Illegal re sult or to Justify a recount and dis missed the case. TRANSPORTATION SanFrancisco S. S. ROSE CITY DCPART 0:0O A.
