Osier, president of the Western States Motor Car company announced lust week the consolidation of the West ern States Motor Car company with the North Grand Auto company, the lat ter company having for some time been engaged in the selling of used cars. Following the announcement of the somsolidation, which will be known as the J. C. Osier Motor Car company, with Osier as president. Osier said that the shop equipment now in use in the repair tiepartmeot of the Nortlf Grand Auto sompany will be moved into, the building aecupied by the t Western , States . com pany, and that a system - of service would be inaugurated at onoe. ' Various changes in the arrangements of the two buildings occupied on Grand avenue are contemplated, but whether, any change of personnel in eitner organizauuu forthcoming wa not announced. Clogging of Muffler ' Causes Power Loss One of; the most frequent causes of power losses is the clogging up or partial stoppage of the muffler by Carlson. This can be remedied by removing the muffler and beating it with a mallet or piece of wood.
