Sentence Despite
His New Wealth
Topeka, Kan., . Aug. 18.-I. N. a)
Clarence Kurz. who escaped from the
Leavenworth military t prison shortly
after being charged with, complicity in
counterfeiting operations. Imusti finish
his sentence despite the fact that he
has accumulated between $15,000 and
S20.000 while at liberty.
Kurz, sent up from the 89th division at
Camp Funston, - crossed the line into
Canada following his escape and en
gaged in the garage and welding busi
ness.
He is now ' being held ' in the county
jail here awaiting transportation to
Leavenworth.
