At Laurelhurst

geant portrayed n the green car
pet of Laurelhursjt park by a croup of

pround during the livacation periods was
-witnessed by more than 4000 Portland
fo!ki Tuesday evening. The Royal
Rofarlan band, under the direction of
J. B. EUlngei, furnished the music for
the dainty little dancers, who tripped
throjugh their various parts in the pretty
fantlasy under the direction of 4Uta
Kasiham Travis, supervisor of the play
ground work at the park.
The work of the groups portraying
the seasons was Interpreted with un
usual finish and received a. hearty re
sponse from the audience seated about
the grassy slopes on the park surround
ing the stage, which.' was set in the
hollow of the. gardens '...- .,;!
Althea Dwyer in the filmy garments
of Spring. Carol Whitney as 'the
shepherd In the summer group, and an
endless number of attendant sprites in
brilliant-hued frocks representing the
season's changes, (flitted about hrough
