The greatest gain we seeds in Shall Trading
A Transport, which sold at 66, an advance of
over 4 points. Mexican Petroleum made a gain
of 2 4 to 156 H and Pan-American Petroleum
rose 2 to 81 H. Corn Products mad a gain
of 1 point to 86 14 and Cuban American Sugar
rose 1 ooint to 884.

AID TO COTTON MARKET

news from Europe accounted for a rise of 9 to
26 points at the opening of tba cotton market
today, except September, which waa 35 point
lower. Buying by the South and Liverpool
absorbed the offering but when thto demand
waa supplied ths list eased, soon losing about
half the improvement, only to rally again at the
end of the first SO minute on renewed cov
ering. Throughout the bat hour the cotton market
was unsettled, with a declining tendency.
The close was ftnn on covering at a net de
cline of 20 and 70 points.
