Harvest of winter wheat continues, and some threshing haa been done. Many threshers will begin this week. There is some complaint of ahrivele grain. ,dA considerable acreage of early spring wheat he been hsrvested. but in some elevated' districts late fields are not yet .mature and would be benefited by rain. The aame ia true of late spring eata, but harvest of winter end early spring oat is .well advanced. Barley is mature except in the more elevated districts. Corn, is generally doing well but needs rain for best results. Early sweet corn is ra market. : Pears sre nearly grown in southern counties and picking of earht . varieties will begin thia week. Apples said prunes are growing well.. The loganberry crop wss somewhat reduced by -dry weather.. -. - j, ; Cutting of the first crop of alfalfa Is prac tically - complete in Klamath county and is nearing completion in Deschutes county. The wheat mar ket wss erratic today, an early break being fol lowed by a rise that brought futures tip to prac tically yesterday'a closing figures. . ; Corn and eata were' generally ateady. After ' yesterday's close the tip went out to sell at the opening this morning. As a result prices broke. Decem ber wheat selling at $2.21, off 8 cents, while March, at the same price, was down 1 H cents. There was good buying on the break - and these orders quickly forced prices up to their former level,! December' closing at t2.29 and March at $2.32.
