shoot his wife ,and children, Andrew
Carrasco. a native of Spain, was bound
over to the grand jury Thursday after
nooa .by Municipal Judge Rossman. The
trouble U said to Rave started when
Carrasco tried to convince his wife that
she ought to take in washing. When the
police arrested him his gun was found
to be empty. Carrasco is being held In
Sefault of 81000 bail. i

In a communication to the county com
missioners,' City Com'mtssioner Pier has
outlined his plans for thd . development
of the county poor farm property on
Canyon road. Negotiations for the leas
ing of this property by Use city for park
purposes have been completed and the
formal transfer will take place in a few
days. ':'"'; f' ? -
The property will not be developed
until the spring of 1921, Pier said. A
landscape gardener will go to work, after
which , tennis courts and a golf course
Will be constructed. About 10 acres are
to be set aside as a camp ground for the
Portland Boy Scouts, and another area
will be a Hoted to the new soo. ;
