Fraud Is Alleged In Suit to Cancel v Deed Covering Deal Baker, June 23. Blggi & Cattl, Pine Valley sheepgrqwers, are suing S. Shelby to cancel a deed to $6500 wof'th of land Obtained by alleged fraudulent means. according to the complaint. In 1918, they assert,- they made out the' deed and placed it in escrow at the Halfway bank, to be held there until Shelby had paid for the land. . Last January, the complaint states, no payments had been made, .so the deed was withdrawn from the .bank and placed m the hands of J. H. Helman. Pine Valley attorney. Battle; Over Milk Results in Broken Thumb; Two Fined Roseburg. June 23. After being at tacked by Sam Cowley, restaurant owner, and thrown out onto the pavement by the cook, Ernest Unrath, a local milk dealer, waited until Cowley left the restaurant and beat him into unconsciousness, j Unrath delivered milk and a misun derstanding resulted in an argument.
