Klamath Falls. - June 14. Less than one
third of the annual - wool clip of this county,
which average half a million pounds ba been
shipped out so far, according to the Southern
Pacific office here. The slump ' in tbe wool
market has caused growers in this section to
cease shipping entirely and begin storing their
product. Even that shipped already was con
signed to scouring plants snd in most cases was
not received by buyers. After scouring It will
be placed in storage and held for a more steady
market. . -

Full Cannery Operation -
Eugene. June 14. According td statements
made today by Manager J. O. Holt of the Eu
gene ' Fruit Growers' association, neither the
price of sugar or of fruit is going to curtail
its pack of canned goods for" the present sesaon.
'I he demand for the early fruits ia already about
double the amount of their pack of last year.
Uecorda in its office today show that during the
past year ine association a plants -in this county
put up a total of 6,507,861 pounds of fruits
and '- vegetables and that its gross sales of all
pioduct amounted to $889,556.24. '
Will Build. Cannery
Raymond. Waab.. Jun 14. The Willap
Products association held -a meeting in Menlo
last week at which time it voted to commence
the immediate construction of s cannery. The
first building is to be 40 feet by 132 feet and
will be of wood with concrete foundation aad

. . This is a concrete manifestation af the sin
cerity of purbone of the Menlo berry growers and
will ba an excellent incentive to the farmers of
the valley to continue their effort -to develop
the berry industry in this .locality.

Sunday for the Monday trade consisted
of 128 cars, compared with 107 -a weak
ago, 84 two weeks ago. 101 four weeks
ago, 65 a year ago and 100 cars this same
day two, years ago. Hogs were firmer
and higher, cattle were unchanged, while
sheep apd lambs were steady, - - :
There was a liberal gain ia offerings of swine
at North Portland for the. week opening as com
pared with recent weeks, but strength was indi
cated in th trade right from th jumpoff. Sales
were made during the morning at an advance of
50o to $1 above previous price, top mixed
going up to $15.50 916.00 for the day.
Strength in hogs waa likewise shown at
practically all points in th coup try for the day.

futures from a slightly lower opening to a
sharply higher close on Uia board of trad today.

rain over the belt, but the market firmed up aft
