Wednesday afternoon at the home of the
bride's mother, Mrs. Jennie A, " Marlett,
in Multnomah. ; The wedding was wit
nessed by a few friends and the cere
mony was of , the old Quaker form, , or
"Friends' avowaL" President Mills of
the Pacific college In Newberg, offici
ated. Both Mr, and Mrs. Lewis have
been teaching In the Pacific college the
past year. The bride was graduated
from Reed college, class of 1919. and the
bridegroom is a graduate of the Karlhan
(Quaker) college of Richmond. Ind. Mr.
Lewis will be an Instructor in the T.
M. C. A. of this city during the sum
mer. Mr. and Mra. Lewis will reside
at Multnomah for the present.

with full train and adorned with Iri
descent bead trimmings and draperies
of tulle. The wedding veil was fastened

denias were used for the bridal bou

sister of the bride, was maid-of -honor

veiled in yellow tulle. Miss Virginia
Brown was bridesmaid and - was
gowned in pink, organdie, Elmor Nord
strom was the dainty flower girl, and
