'River Day' Will
Inaugurate Reed
Commencement
SEVENTEEN hours' river navigation,
Including- picnic lunches, are fea
tures of the entertainment offered Reed
college students by Howard McGowan,
chairman, of River day, which will open
commencement-festivities at Reed. The
J. N. Teal has been chartered for the
trip, and the start will be made Tues
day morning at T clbek Breakfast
will be served at Reed an hour and a
half before the usual hour, and campus
and dormitory will be deserted until late
at night, j
' The ship will head for Moffatt
Springs, on the Washington side of the
Columbia, and dinner will be served
there, picnic style. Hiking will be en
Joyed, and return will be made late in
the evening., Alumni and friends of
students are invited to join the Reed
River day party, which promises to be
a one. .
Miss Soliel Green is a visitor in the
c'.ty from Sunnyside, Wash. She is the
house guest of Mr.: and Mrs. H. H.
O'Reilly and will remain in the vCity
three or four weeks. Her brother, Gael
Green, is a cadet officer at Hill Military
