JAPAN IN POSITION
TO
DEMAND
IN BIG SUM OF U.S.
Deliberate attempt is being made by a
lodal clique, aided by a morning paper,
to uphold the manipulating speculators
in the grain bag market. In a defense of
the manipulators it states that the price
of grain bags is made in Calcutta. That
is true, as everyone knows, but the trade
also knows that the local situation has
been manipulated during certain periods.
It develop that despite the efforts of certain
interests to "stand in" with the manipulators,
there has been practically no change in the
price of grain bags at Calcutta aside fmra
nominal fluctuations during recent weeks, while
the local and other Pacific coast market hat
advanced sharply.
