OFFSHORE VESSELS DUE
Two Ships of Pacific Steamship Com
pany to Arrive From Orient.
Two vessels of the Pacific Steamship
company's Portland-Oriental service are
scheduled to arrive in the Columbia
river Sunday, according to report re
ceived by the local offices this morning
the Wawalona. which expects to ar
rive at the mouth of the river in the
morning, and the Coaxet during the eve
ning. The former will arrive at St.
Johns Municipal terminal to dlncharge
Sunday evening, and the latter Monday
morning.
Both vegeels are carrying general
freight cargoes, with large allotments
of hemp and Japanese Easter goods.

William R. Taylor, a special
tentative of John Barton Payne,
repre-chair-
man of the emergency fleet corporation,
and W. TL DeFleld, consulting engineer
of the corporation, arrived In Portland
Friday afternoon to inspect the lupply
and sales division offices here. Taylor
is a member of the finance division of
the corporation.
