Harty Wembrldge, a graduate of Reed
college in 1917, has received a commis

Baekwaeat Floar Prices Fixed
Buckwheat flour should not be sold at
more than a pre-war margin and in no
event at a higher margin of profit
than 12 to 15: per cent, according to in
formation received by W. B. Ayer, fed
eral food administrator, from the dis
tribution division at Washington. This
decision has been made, pending a de
termination of the proper margin that
should be allowed wholesale distribut
ers.
Complaint Against Dancing Parties-
Residents of the . neighborhood of Fre
mont and Montana streets appeared be
fore the city council Wednesday with an
appeal that effort be made to stop the
dancing parties given in a nearby hall
every other night. The parties extend
well after midnight, they said, and cause
disorder. Further investigation of the
place has been ordered.
Soft Drlak Parlor Robbed The soft
drink parlor of Morris Klarfeine, 171
North Sixth street, was entered by a
thief Wednesday night. The place was
ransacked, a number of suitcases were
opened and $5 in cash and a consider
able quantity of smoking tobacco were
taken. Entrance was obtained through
rear window.
