About a year ago the members of the church decided to erect a new structure for worship, because they could not seat their congregations on" Sunday mornings. The church had previously purchased two lots across from the old structure at East Thirty-fourth and Main streets, and it was decided to build on this corner. , The men decided that they would incur no debt in erecting the new structure. First the basement was dug with the funds on hand and then work was discontinued until the money was raised to build the concrete wall. After breakfast- they scatter to their various conferences, general parliament and Bible study. The afternoons will be devoted to recreation. Games and contests of all kinds between societies in vaulting, races, etc.. will be played. After supper song services will be held Splendid inspirational addresses have been planned for the evening, followed by cosy bonfire watches. HE annual summer school for the clergy of the Episcopal church closed Friday evening at St. Helens hall. Its success was most gratifying to the commit- tee and to the visiting clergy and espe cially to Bishop Sumner. The summer school has come to be an established Institution of the Episcopal church In the Northwest, and Is attracting the at tention or the clergy of other states. Among the prominent clergy present were Dr. H. H. Gowen. Seattle; Very Rev. Cecil S. Quanlton, dean of the ca thedrai at Victoria. B. C. : Very Rev. Guy D. Christian, dean of the cathedral at Juneau.
