competitor, Ben - Woldt. -at the
northeast corner of Third, and Jef
ferson streets, Sunday afternoon, when
ha lost control of hla large automobile
and tore Into the front of Woldt's atora.
' Petrlno waa driving north on Third
street. H. D. Hamilton appeared from
somewhere en & motorcycle. Petrlno
said that Hamilton got in hla way and
caused him to swerve his large car over
the curb.
When the machine came to a atop it
waa faintly panting against the far waJ
cf Woldt'a store. The front doora were
open and there waa nothing to keep the
machine from making a- complete , en
trance to the .building. Show casta were
overturned, glaasea were broken and
merchandise waa scattered In all direc
tions. Naaario Vaclno, who had been riding
with Petrlno, waa found In a corner,
fastened by the two front wheela of the
car and win the cash register firmly
lodged upon hia shoulders. In spite cf
the freak accident and the damage done
to Woldt'a store, no one waa injured.
Woldt estimated his loaa at SJ00. Both
Hamilton and Petrlno reported the ac
cident to the police but neither waa held.
