"Oregon's new minimum quota of
$18,000,000 has been arrived at since
the new compilation of the bank de

The original quota of $16,500,000 was
taken on a basis of the last official

It, A. P. Smith,, Mrs.
J
The Twenty-seventh of this month just
six days off this second Liberty Loan
closes, and today Oregon is far below her
$16j500,000 mark.
Undoubtedly, there are many people who
want to do their "bit" to buy at least a
$50.00 Liberty Bond:
Listen to this plan: Between now and the
close of the campaign, if any one of our
customers has an open account with us
and there is a payment due, he or she may
apply the amount due us as first payment
on a Liberty Bond, and we will wait until
next month for our money. Or, if anyone
wishes to purchase anything at this store
between now and the close of the Bond
campaign, he or she may make the purchase
tand instead of paying us at the time, ap
ply that amount on a Liberty Bond, and
defer payment to us until next month.
We will arrange for you to buy the bonds
or will direct you to a bank where they
may be purchased .Besides, when- you
have, purchased a bond, we will accept it
in payment " for merchandise you may
wish to purchase. f ;
Liberty Bonds' are the surest investment
in the world. They offer a practical way
' of paving and bring in a cteady mterest.
You may purchase them on the easiest
. possible terms. A $50.00 Liberty Bond
will , feed one solcV.er for four months.
That is : reason enough why yo;i should
purchase at least one.- fc . -
