Public opinion today agreed with
the expression of the newspaper Bel
Mittaa, although admitting ths possi
bility that American sentiment against
Germany would be Increased by de
struction of the Healdton.
"The sinking of the American steam

American press pressure on President
Wilson." the editorial declared, "and
the entente press will doubtless as
