Fittery held the Angels hitless for full
six innings yesterday and gat away
with the big end of a 9 to 2 ecore. The
Angels got two hits in Uie seventh, but
failed to register until the eighth,
when two more hits netted them as
many runs. The Bees scored helr
runs in the first, fourth, sixth and
seventh when hits and errors made
their work easy. Horstman, Hogg and
Kahler did the hurling. The score:

The poor, downtrodden, dejected Oaks
had their corns trampled on by the Tig
ers again yesterday. The Ham Patter
son squad made it four in a row by
winning, 6 to 0. Lefty Decannlere was
the man behind the shutout. His good
left wing was working nicely all the
way. while Boyd, the Oak moundsman,

The Pacific Northwest association
boxing champions will participate in
the San Diego Panama-Pacific exposi
tion tournament to be staged In San
Diego August 16, 17 and 18. This an
nouncement was made yesterday by T.
Morris Dunne, secretary of the Paciflc
Northwest association.
Ralph Underwood and Albert Beyers
of the Multnomah Amateur Athletic
club were winners of the 115 pound
and 125 pound championships respect
ively. George Davis of Mike Butler's
RChool won the 145 pound title and Val
Sontag of Seattle won the middle
weight and light heavyweight honors.
Secretary Dunne has written the
Seattle Athletic club asking If it would
be possible for Sontag to make the
trip. lt is also likely that Earl Baird
will be asked to participate in the San
Diego tourney.
J. Evers Gets in Bad
For Rowdyism Stunt
New York, July 7. (U. P.) Colonel
Ebbetts, president of the Brooklyn club,
will place a complaint against Johnny
Evers before President Tener within a
few days, it was said here.
Evers, who was suspended for re
marks about Tener, is said to have
made similar or even stronger remarks
to Ebbetts at a recent game In Boston.
With the Braves Just beginning to
show in strong fashion In the pennant
race, the loss of Evers to the team is
expected to have a great bearing on the
final result.
Wednesday, After being called out on

President Tener was In a box with
Mrs. Tener and heard the remark. Ten

Seattle, Wash.. July 7. Forrest Wat
son, 18-year-old golfer of the Waverley
Golf club, is Portland's contender for
supreme laurels in the amateur cham
pionship of the annual Potlatch tourna
ment of the Seattle Golf club. He will
today oppose George S. Tilden of
Seattle In the semi-finals, while U. W.
Potter of Seattle and Rupert Bone of
Vancouver are battling or the other
place in the final.
Never before in local golfing his
tory has the dope been so completely
uj.set as In today's play. The elimina
tion of Rudolph Wilhelm of the Port
land Country club, northwest open
champion, and II. H. Pringle of Tacoma
In the first elimination round was
one of the surprises of the tour
nament. Another unexpected result
was the defeat of H. Paul Ford
of Seattle In the northwest round-u,-
amateur championship by O.
W. Potter of Seattle.
Watson won his first match today
from W. H. Cameron of Seattle by de
fault and he was victorous over Pringle
lu the afternoon by a score of 5 up and
4 to go.
Four Seattle women. Miss Agnes
Ford. Mrs. C. K. Magill. Mrs. Wlljlam
Pigott and Mrs. Robert S. Wilson, are
the semi-finalists in the women's
championship. Mrs. Ford will play
Mrs. Magill and Mrs. Pigott will op
pose Mrs. Wilson in the semi-finals
tomorrow.
The spectacular match of the day
was between Howard Wright of Ta
coma and Robert Bone of Vancouver,
which was decided on the twentieth
hole in favor of the Vancouver man.
Another close match was between R.
C. F. Astbury of Medford, Or., and A.
E. Griffin of Vancouver in the first
elimination game of the first flight.
Astbury won out. but he lost to R. W.
Manning of Everett in the second
