He was a native of England, and came to Portland In 18S6, and had been a marine engineer be fore that. For the past 10 years he had been? Identified with the North Pacific Lumber company. Before that h- was with the Simpson Lumber fomnanv of South Bend. Wash, and the Northwestern Lumber company of Grays Harbor. Mr. Harlow went to Japan to settle up an estate or nis father some 14 months ago, and upon his return was taken sick with Brlght's disease. He Is survived by a widow and four children.
