Twenty-two guests circled the dinner table and about as many more guests came in later for dancing. Mrs. Steenrod Is a sister of Mrs. Keller and Is the daughter of Mrs. L. C. Davis. Mr. Steenrod is with the Northwestern bank and his former home was at Detroit. Chanticler Inn, on the Columbia river highway, was the scene of a de lightful dinner dance last Wednesday evening, when a group of nine ma chines went out for the evening. The banquet table was beautifully decorated in fern and larkspur, and places for 37 guests were laid. Music and dancing were enjoyed during the dinner and through the evening. The Rose City Park club will give its last danciriT? party of the season on Tuesday evening, the final number of the program which was arranged and published in November for some kind of an entertainment for 31 suc cessive Tuesday evenings. These oc casions have been largely attended and have added to the popularity of the club as an institution whose fa cility for social festivities of a high order is not surpassed in the city. The dancing party on Tuesday eve ning will be attended by practically the full membership cf the club, to gether with many visitors to whom the club has become an attractive cen ter for enjoyable entertainment. Alvord returned Tuesday from a three weeks' motor trip through eastern Oregon. They traveled more than 800 miles and struck all varieties of weather from a snow storm to warm sunshine.
