TO BE EXTENDED ON DOWN THE COAST News of Sale of Bonds for ; Grants iPass-Crescent City . Extension Is Encouraging, WOULD FEED COAST LINE would Tap X.srfe Territory vow Absolutely Wltliont Cransportatloa "" ' Continue on to Sunk. Marshfleld, Or.. May 13. Nws re ceived that the bonds have been sold for the Grants. Pass-Crescent City rall- 1 road is taken here to mean that the Hquthern . Pacific from this point will extended on down the coast. 1 Those who claim to know of railroad I ' conditions say that if the line la built from Grant Pass, and then reported floating' of the bond Issue now indi cates that It will be built, it will reach Crepcent City "and be a feeder' to' a coast line which will extend from Coos Bay on down through Curry county 'to Crescent City and on south to Eureka to connect With the railroad to San Francisco. t Southern Pacific officials who have recently visited here claim to know nothing positive as to plans for ex tending on down the coast but have ad mitted that such an extension was a possibility In the future. The fact that the Grants Pass line to the coast seems to be a reality is taken here as en cou raging news and as an indication of future activities in railroad building from this point. The line through Curry county to Eureka was surveyed some years ago.
