Drink? Why, Man, He
Even Uses It for His
Bath in the Morning
The waters of the tree fringed
Willamette did not fall in their
attraction for H. E. Langlaise,
manager of the Remick Song
Shop. iveitner did he rear
tt squalls, wet feet or sunburn. In a
fact It was Just the other way
Ht about and that Is why his t
l(f friends could not understand
a his determination to sell his
canoe.
It was a beautiful craft, .full
18 feet long and virtually new.
But Langlaise had his eye on
a something better, in his opinion.
He was "figuring" on a motor- jfe
boat and therefore had no fur- 3
ther use for the canoe. So he
s did the businesslike thing and
advertised in the want ad col-
H umns of a local newspaper . 'if,
a but made no sale. Then he tried
It out in The Journal's classl-
fled. Two- days later the deal
4r was closed. The want ad found
a man who paid $35 for the
canoe. But that's the business t
0 of Journal want ads. They are
s business getters.
