Paraffine Used For Constipation WithGood Results The use of paraffine oil, liquid petroleum, or Ameroil, as it is va riously known, as a remedy for con stipation. Is increasing at a rapid rate. The treatment consists of taking liquid petroleum In ordinary doses. The petroleum lubricates the bow els and softens the hardened masses in the passages. ' These masses then pass through in the most natural and easiest manner possible. The action of the bowels is entirely natural and Is not caused by stimulation. Amer oil, which is one of the most popular forms in which thia petroleum is used, is the purest possible form in which petroleum or paraffine can be taken. It is most agreeable to take, being tasteless, odorless and color less. One of the points worthy of notice is the fact that Ameroil is different from a laxative ln that it is not ab sorbed and does not pass into the system. Ameroil has proven a splen did remedy for constipation after be ing tried in a very large number of cases. Its benefits have been very marked ln cases of constipation of long standing. .
