Restriction of Sale
Of Alcohol Is Urged I
Portland retail druggists at the
meeting of their association at the
Chamber of Coramerc last night, took
a stand In favor of the strictest en
forcement of the prohibition law ap
plying to th sal of 'alcohol.
.Desire was expressed for some way
to distinguish the- legitimate user of
alcohol from the ones who want to
purchas It for beverage purposes. Th
hop was expressed that the authori
ties will send to all druggists lists and
descriptions of Inebriates, so the drug
gists, will know to whom to refuse to
make sales.
It we brought out that moat drug
gist are refusing to sell alcohol to
many would-be purchasers, but at that
undoubtedly many false affidavits are
being signed. .
The annual election resulted in the
selection of the following officers: B.
A. Robinson, president; Watt Wallace.
