July 12, was held -from the parlors of Dunning & McEntee this morning. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery. Mr. Church was a native of New York. 83 years old. He served in the Civil war with the Iowa Volunteers.' For several years he lived in Portland, but a few months ago went to the Soldiers' Home at Roseburgv He is survived by two sons. W. P. and J. A.
