Knodell, formerly super intendent of the Anti-Saloon League of Oregon died yesterday at the residence of Rev. W.'H. Meyer, 6715 Forty-fourth avenue, southeast. , - Rev. Knodell came to Portland early last April for medical treatment. . He la survived by -a wife and two sister. Knodeli'a first work with the Anti Saloon league was in the state of Cali fornia. From there he came . to Port land and was superintendent of the Oregon league from, 1907 to 1911. Dur lng this time he directed the local option campaign of 1908 and the state wide campaign of ; 1910. A - physical breakdown , necessitated ; Ms resigning the work. -' ,--- "- -. After some months of recuperation he took up miniiterial work once more, having charge of the Laurel wood Con. gregational church of this city.
