All managers have strengthened
their teams considerably daring, the
past two weeks, and it is expected
that today's games will be very close.
Manager Grayson of the Maroons lias
signed Miles Netxel, former Portland
and - Spokane player, to fill the place
or Ernest SIgsbee, . who, has Jotnetl
the Caldwell, Idaho, team. N'etzel will
play third -base and Bogart will be
shifted' to short. Henderson will play
second base. - Manager Lewis of Sell
wood has signed Fred Garner, a third
baseman, and Outfielder Joe Dixon,
who. played --with Sellwood during the
first month of the season.
."Bed Lund, who was defeated by
the Maroons three weeks ago by the
