Queen Sybil of the festival arfd her
maids of honor, accompanied by the

present during the events. Th bands
.of the Rosarlans and Cherriana will
also bo on hand.
- Martin T. Hawkins, chairman of the
outdoor- athletic committee of the
Multnomah club, has made arrange
ments to start the pole vault and
hammer threwtnr events at t o'clock.
The first heat of tho loo yard datih
will start promptly at 8:30 o'clocK.
Practically every club and college In
v the northwest will be represented at
this season's meet, which will serve
as a tryout for the far western Cham
pionships to be decided in San Fran
cisco next month. Some of the club
of ettie northwest will toe represented
-. by the best college athletes In this
section of the country.

records beins hung up. The discus

contestants,. George Philbrook of the
Multnomah club, Rupert Edmonds of
the University: of Washington, and
Colo of the O. A. C. team.
The mile run record will likely be
lowered a couple of seconds, with tha
old rivals, McClure, Huggirfs and
Clyde pitted against each other, Clyde
will represent the University of Wash
ington and McClure and Muggins will
' run under tho colors of the Multnomah
