Ryndam, which, wm rammed by the

day, arrived at Hobokea pier today.
They had been sent first to the Cuneo,
- when It appeared that the Ryndam
would sink, then to the United States
battleship South Carolina, later to th
tug T. C. Millard and at quarantine
back to the Ryndam. " ' '
The liner is in the lower bay, her
pumps having worked all night The
Cuneo reached quarantine at 8 a...m,
today There was no panic on the
Ryndam following the collision at
sea, according to the story told today
by D. d Bos, purser of the Ryndam.

Portland bas been granted until July
21 to prepare . and file a brief in the
railroad commission case of the Port
land Railway. Light & Power company.

Southern Pacific railroad have been
fixed as follows by the state railroad
commission: June 7, at Batan, on pro-'
viding sidetrack facilities for carload

tion, on plea to have station moved to
